Making An Offer They Can't Refuse

I apologize if anyone has been annoyed all the political stuff that's been on here lately, but I really think it's important to get the word out on this stuff.  America is paying a very high price for ignorance right now.

But now we're back to our regularly scheduled program.  The big news is that Wednesday we made an offer to buy a house that we love!

Isn't it wonderful?

We should be hearing back within 24 hours or so of this posting.  Ashley and I both love it.  It's big enough that we may never have to move.  :)  Hopefully it all works out!  Wish us luck!

P.S.  If anyone wants to be our future neighbors, there is another awesome house right across the street for sale.  It's the same plan as the other house that we loved but decided not to get.  Mom, Dad?  You're getting close to retiring, and I just know you'd like to live our your Everyone Loves Raymond fantasies...  ;)

Holy crap!  Actually, now that I think about it, an older version of Dad could play Raymond's dad very, very well...

UPDATE:  After some counter-offering and other realtor back-and-forth, it looks like...

WE GOT THE HOUSE!

We'll be closing in about a month, if all goes well from here.  Wish us some more luck!

You definitely should move to Texas. It's a great place, where you can still shoot burglars in your house, you can get awesome barbecue while you fill up your car, and high school football games have higher attendance than Utah State's.

About the law schools, you'll wanna check out this link. UT Austin is #16, and there's a new train 5 minutes from our new house that will drop you at the door.

Alright! :) Hey thanks for the link! I'll show it to Ry today!
(He's pretty set in his choice to Chicago if he gets in, I'll make sure he applies to U Texas-Austin though!)
I've only been in Texas for 3 days total, but I absolutely loved how gorgeous it was. I could definitely live without as much snow as we get here.

The house looks great!

How many bed/bath is it. It looks like a really good size... second floor, big yard, big kitchen and I like that loft/nook area (in the second picture).

Good luck with the rest of the closing details.

It's 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms. Pretty sweet, huh? We're getting a pretty sweet deal on it, too.
